The leading chemical solutions company hired Amelia to support its employees and contractors with instant IT and HR support.

NEW YORK, NY, December 9, 2021 — Amelia, the leading Enterprise AI software company, today announced that Amelia has been hired by The Chemours Company (Chemours), a global leader in the chemical industry, to enhance experiences for its employees and contractors.

The company, headquartered in Wilmington, DE, was looking for a solution that would reduce operating costs, increase efficiency and integrate with its existing internal support infrastructure. To achieve these objectives, Chemours hired Amelia as its Digital Assistant for approx. 9,000 total employees and contractors, based on her ability to increase end-user productivity by efficiently and effectively resolving users’ questions.

Chemours was also drawn to Amelia’s ability to integrate with the company’s existing IT and HR systems. The company wanted a Conversational AI solution that would resolve internal support tickets from employees and contractors, and it was crucial to deploy a solution with extensive integration capabilities in order to enable end-to-end resolutions.

Amelia helps Chemours employees and contractors with IT-related queries such as password resets, printer set-ups and wireless network connections. The company will soon expand Amelia’s responsibilities to include assisting employees with procurement invoice payments. Chemours is currently in the early stages of its deployment, however, the company expects that Amelia will scale quickly as internal awareness of Amelia and her abilities increases, and as she takes on more responsibilities.

Although Amelia interacts predominantly with Chemours employees and contractors, she is also deployed within the company’s e-commerce portal on a limited basis, where she assists customers with product questions and the ordering process. Amelia also helps customers connect with human customer service agents as needed.

David McHenry, IT Director, User Productive, for Chemours, said: “Chemours’ business operations rely on our team of 9,000 people. Working with such a large team, our internal support operations are vital to our efficiency, productivity and employee experience. We hired Amelia as the first point-of-contact for IT and HR support as she can integrate seamlessly with our current support platform, and now our users can easily interact with her through Conversational AI for assistance. Amelia helps our employees and contractors quickly resolve their IT and HR issues in a way that matches our dynamic, fast-paced environment, allowing employees to focus on driving innovation and meeting our customers’ needs.”

Chetan Dube, CEO of Amelia, said: “We are thrilled that Chemours has hired Amelia as its employee-based Digital Assistant, empowering its workers and contractors with instant, personalized support. Innovators like Chemours realize the intrinsic value that can be created by the automation of rote and time-consuming tasks that often result in unnecessary inertia. Chemours is demonstrating its commitment to creating better employee experiences, and we look forward to working together to make this automation journey a success.”
